Reliable valves for Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems
In a typical wafer fab, millions of liters of water are used daily, most of which is processed through reverse osmosis (RO) to meet ultrapure water (UPW) standards. Bray Controls supplies valves and accessories for:
- Process cooling water (PCW)
- Wafer cleaning and rinse stations
- Pretreatment and storage of purified water
- Wastewater recycling and reclamation
Our PFA-coated butterfly valves and ball valves deliver long-lasting performance, even with aggressive acids, organic compounds, and high-pressure conditions.
Ultrapure water (UPW): Essential for sub-10nm chip production
In modern sub-10 nm chip manufacturing, water purity requirements are exceptionally high. Bray Benelux supplies valves for UPW processes that meet SEMI F63, F54, and F104 standards. These valves are used in:
- UPW polishing units
- Wafer cleaning and etching
- Chemical mechanical planarization (CMP)
- Solvent-based processes
Our valves are cleaned and verified in Bray’s own cleanrooms and are designed to operate without contamination or corrosion.
Deionized water (DI): A key process fluid for wafer manufacturing
DI water is produced by removing ions such as sodium, calcium, chloride, and sulfates through ion exchange systems. Producing a single 300 mm wafer can require more than 6,000 liters of deionized water. Bray Controls Benelux offers valves for:
- Mixed-bed ion exchange tanks
- Demineralization systems
- Rinse stations and analysis gases
- DI water storage systems
Our valves feature minimal dead space, low particle generation, and high chemical compatibility, ensuring reliability in DI water applications.

Water recycling and wastewater treatment in wafer fabs
After use, ultrapure water (UPW) becomes wastewater that often contains hazardous chemicals and heavy metals. Bray supplies advanced valves for:
- Treatment of effluent water containing cyanide, pyrazoles, and other chemicals
- Water recycling and reuse
- Safe discharge of treated water
Our products are engineered to withstand corrosive acids and aggressive chemicals, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
